Every job starts with a quote, and you approve it before any tool comes out. The call out costs nothing, so the figure you agree to is the whole figure.
Is the call out really free?
Really. Getting us to your door costs nothing, whether the job turns out to be a tap washer or a full hot-water replacement. You pay for approved work only.
Why quote before starting?
Because you should know what you're up for before anything happens. We look at the job, put the price in writing, and you decide. No approval means no charge.
What if the job changes once you start?
Sometimes an older home hides a second problem behind the first. We stop, explain what we've found and quote the extra separately. Nothing proceeds without your say-so.

How do I book a plumber?

Older homes and salt air
This coast is hard on plumbing, and the housing stock is mature, so a few questions come up again and again from long-time owners.
Do you work on older homes?
Fibro and weatherboard cottages, brick veneer from the eighties and nineties, and the newer coastal builds all sit on our regular run, original pipework, old fittings and all.
Why does salt air cause so much trouble?
This suburb sits hard on the ocean, so salt-laden air corrodes external taps, valves and copper pipework years sooner than inland. We spec fittings rated for coastal conditions.
Are older gas fittings a problem?
Homes built from the sixties through the nineties often still carry original gas cooktop and hot-water fittings that need updating to current standards. Licensed gas fitting covers it.
What about hot-water systems in long-held homes?

Drains and the peninsula
Drainage is the single most common complaint we hear about on this run, so it earns its own section of questions.
Why do drains block here so often?
Three things stack up: fine dune sand washing into lines, mature garden roots finding older pipes, and the fall from headland to beach making poor grading a real issue.
Do you inspect before you dig?
Yes. A CCTV drain inspection shows exactly where the line is cracked or blocked before anyone lifts a shovel, which keeps the digging small and the bill honest.
Can sand be cleared out of stormwater lines?
Yes. High-pressure jetting scours sand, silt and roots off the pipe walls far more thoroughly than a plunger or an old electric eel ever could, and the water does the digging.
Can I do anything to prevent blockages?
Keep garden roots away from known line routes, watch what goes down kitchen sinks, and get a line checked if gullies gurgle or drain slowly after ordinary rain.
